As a new patient, you will receive a full investigation of the soft tissues within your mouth and an oral cancer check. A complete chart will be added to our computer system, which will record previous dental treatment that you have had and any further treatment that may be required.
Routine x-rays of either side of the mouth may also be necessary to show hidden decay between the teeth and bone changes caused by gum disease. For our x-rays, we use the latest digital technology which reduces radiation exposure to our patients. In some cases, a full jaw x-ray and impressions of your mouth may be needed to help diagnose more complicated problems.
At this visit, you will also have the opportunity to discuss any problems or concerns that you may have in regards to your mouth and a full medical history will be taken.
